Instructions

Dehydrating

  • Wash your chillies or herbs and pat dry with a paper towel. Slice your chilli peppers in half, and lay flat. If you want to save the seeds, do this before drying. Place your chilli’s on the rack, and dehydrate on medium heat for 6–10 hours, or until bone dry. Be careful to wait the allocated time, as you want to evaporate all moisture.
  • Once dehydrated, put in an airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place, and your dried produce will last 1-2 years!

Oven Drying

  • Wash your chillies or herbs and pat dry with a paper towel. Slice your chilli peppers in half, and lay flat. If you want to save the seeds, do this before drying. Place your chilli’s on the oven tray, and place in your oven on the lowest heat setting for hours, or until bone dry. Be careful to wait the allocated time, as you want to evaporate all moisture.
  • Once dried, put in an airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place, and your dried produce will last 1-2 years!
