Unique Creamy Pasta Bake! {with video}

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 3 Garlic Cloves (diced)
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower Oil for frying
  • 5-10 Bacon Rashers
  • 400 g Tinned Tomatoes
  • 200 ml Vegetable Stock
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Puree
  • 100 ml Double Cream
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • Hand full Fresh Parsley
  • Salt and Pepper to season
  • Fresh Basil to top

Instructions

 

  • Bring a large pan of salted or stock water to the boil for the tagliatelle or pasta. Cook until al dente.
  • In you pan add the oil, onion and garlic, stirring occasionally. Add your bacon, and stir until cooked.
  • Add the tinned tomatoes, puree, salt, pepper and paprika. Continue to stir and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes. Taste and add seasoning to your taste.
  • Once cooked, drain the pasta but reserve roughly 1 cup of the pasta water.
  • Add the mug of pasta water to the bacon sauce and stir on low heat. Toss the pasta in the sauce until well coated and thickened.
  • Add your pasta to your cookware dish and drizzle over your double cream and 1 tbsp Mustard. Lightly mix and top with shredded cheese.
  • Grill for 2-3 minutes until the cheese has melted to your preference!
